Stayed for one night by myself. Chose The Stanley because of the rooftop pool. The location is super convenient to a red line stop on the metro. Decent check-in, not many check-ins are fast in Greece so it's not their fault. Friendly front desk staff. My room was on the 4th floor facing the front central road; others have noted the traffic noise. It's there but I always use a sound machine app on my phone for sleep and I had no trouble. There was no furniture on the small balcony but it's not really a location you want to sit for a while with the business and noise outside, Very nice that the small bottle of wine, water bottles, and two beer cans in the fridge were all complimentary! Comfy bed and good internet. Bright and modern bathroom with shower. Went straight to the pool around 2:30. It was busy! Very nice lady, seemed to be a manager, gave me a towel and helped me find a lounge chair. During the afternoon I moved twice as other chairs became available with better shade. Ordered two cocktails and an appetizer while there; good trio dip with chips and drinks were ok, they were poured very light on the alcohol. Great people watching and listening with all the different languages. The pool is perfect for a rooftop in Athens, big enough with water features activated by buttons. One large faucet feature was broken and people repeatedly tried to use it throughout the afternoon, shows the popularity of the feature. Room service was with a qr code from the printed menu in the room - very efficient. Burger and a salad were good. Ate breakfast in rooftop restaurant; didn't get it with booking reservation so paid on site. Cost is 10€ on the first floor and 15€ in the rooftop restaurant. The waiter said downstairs had some different options but I'm not sure what they were as I didn't go check it out.

First of all..they provided 2 hours early check-in for one of our rooms...gave a good comfort. Everything around the reception desk were fast, accurate, effectiv...thanks for the front staff, esp. to Ms. Vicky ...Garage service is fine, for just 12/day. Breakfast -althought pretty repetative- is excellent, variety is wide enough, good quality things are served ...for 5 days you can select 5 diets. The bathroom isnt' big, equipped however, overhead shower, gels, soaps , etc, and good towels are there. The bed is big, maybe queen-size, 1st class matrace, and white bedclothes ...immaculate. Small but well equipped ( Technogym) gym, 5PAX finnish sauna are on the 4th floor!!! And , the cream on the top....on the top floor, there is an open-air roop terrace, with bar, restaurant, and a swimming pool with 22C water, and panorama of course. ( OK , I found cheaper bars here and there....but not on the top of good hotel in Athen) On one day one of our company had her birthday....I asked recepcionist Ms.Vicky, where could I get a little cake and flowers , as a surprize present for her. Instead, the house produced a fine chocolate cake - free, on the house - and served on a way I asked to.....and above all, this was the most fine , tasty cake we ( at least ..I) had in this year....

The staff were very helpful, friendly, well trained, and with an excellent level of professionalism. There was an incident with a fire alarm in the afternoon (which, at the end, was a false alarm). The fire announcement was loud and clear through speakers and clearly could be heard inside the room. On each floor, there were 1-2 members of the staff guiding and helping people to get outside the premises through stairs and fire escape safely. Each member of the staff were in their positions helping out, this shows an excellent level of professionalism. The room was clean. Every day, the bath towels were folded piled neatly, and generally, the bathroom/shower area was spotless. Kudos to the housekeeping team. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. The restaurant/bar on the 9th floor had a nice atmosphere with a nice view of the area. It was a great option for a drink or lunch after a long day. Right outside at the corner of the hotel, next to the metro station entrance, there is a small café where you could get a coffee or juice "for the road" with a variety of sandwiches, wraps, pastries, etc.

Excellent choice, quality & cleanliness/hygiene at breakfast. Room comfortable and bonus fridge. Shortage of clothes hangers but this is endemic in every hotel I have visited. Excellent small gym with dumbbell free weights and variety of resistance machines, not just usual jogging. Cracking little sauna. Lovely roof terrace with swimming pool and superb views of the city and Acropolis. Acropolis is 1.6miles so walking distance and main old town with bars (recommend The James Joyce Irish bar with great Guinness and good value food just one mile away so walking distance. Staff very friendly, helpful and courteous. Nice little bar across the road from the main entrance along with adjacent hand painted pottery/artwork shop. Theatre also directly across road from entrance. Marvellous cake shop on the roundabout (The Bread Factory) plus kiosk selling all sorts.

We stayed at The Stanley for 5 nights in Feb 2024 and our overall impression was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. As some of the reviews have mentioned, the proximity to the metro entrance is a definite plus. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous, as was the quality of the food at the restaurant. We didn't use the pool as it was quite cold when we went, but it was certainly very welcoming. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and thought it offered good value for money too. The ACroplois view from the rooftop restaurant was pretty cool too.
